Alps

We spent our 2022 vacation in Austria, France and Italy. We chose not to use travel agency and instead travel on our own by car and we slept in campings along the way. Italian camping Trafoi in Alps was one of them. 

It was a rocky road that lead us to Alps. The only time we stoped was to take pictures and buy some snacks. Duster is a great car, although we wish it had a bit larger trunk. 

We used a four wheel drive in Alps. Especially on old gravel roads.

Nothing gives you more strength for a next stage of your journey than a fresh mountain air in a small but cozy camping in Alps. I´m sure our camp neighbours on motor bikes would agree. 

Camping Trafoi has all the basic sanitary facilities (like toilets and showers), dish washing space and a small store. 

We had some food supplies (müsli, cans with beans and ham), which was very handy. During our whole vacation we got used to buying food in supermarket (mostly bread, cheese, fruit and vegetables). And of course – water. 

We went out for a walk after pitching our tent. Alps are knows for their abundance of healing herbs. The view of mountain iceberg was great thanks to sunny weather. A whole valley is carved by cascading waterfalls, that pour down into mountain creek.

We stayed in Alps only for one night. In the morning we moved to another location – french camping de Luna.
